The Weather in Tassie
Tassie is fairly far south, and as such, is cold all year round. Summers generally occur around January till March, and are absolutely gorgeous. Temperatures are balmy, usually ranging from 16 to 20ºC in the day and not much lower at night. The sun sets around 9 or 10 pm.
Autumns are still fairly bearable, although temperatures start to drop. By the time winter rolls around in May or June, it’s sub-ten in the afternoons and approaching zero at night. Days are short, and most days it’ll be dark by the time you get home. Thermal underwear and a good winter jacket are highly recommended, as is a good heater at home to get you through the nights.
By September or October, the weather will start to get warmer. Hopefully by November, you’ll be able to escape to warmer climes for the summer holidays.
